WHAT IS A SSAS?
A SSAS (Small Self-Administered Scheme) is primarily designed for company directors or owners to both build a pension fund for their retirement, and also to help with the running of their business.
In the same way as a SIPP, the SSAS accumulates a pension fund for its members. At retirement the member has the same choices as for the SIPP.
Where a SSAS is different is that it can make a loan back to the employer, giving financial control and flexibility. A SSAS can also own the business property, and invest in a wide range of other investments.
